Act Global has made a donation to the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation and joined the anti-bullying movement.
The mission of the Ben Cohen StandUp Foundation is to increase awareness of the long-term, damaging effects of bullying and raise funds to support those doing real-world work to stop it.
Founded by former England rugby player Ben Cohen and driven by principles of acceptance and tolerance, the Foundation is particularly concerned with sports culture inclusion for all, regardless of race, gender, culture or sexual orientation.
Victims of bullying can experience lasting and detrimental effects on self-esteem, relationships, academics, social skills, mental and physical health, and more. The damage can be emotional or physical, and can be obvious or go unnoticed. Bullying can be especially damaging to young children as they develop their confidence, character and self-image, and can deter them from excelling academically or in sports.
Act Global supports the critical work being done by StandUp, and the individuals the foundation is helping to empower. We believe that every individual regardless of race, religion, color, gender or sexuality is entitled to fair and equal opportunities.
