A Guide to Being World-Class

On a Tuesday evening in the early summer of 2015, the Women’s FIFA World Cup was in full competition with a semi-final match of the United States against Germany. The teams came together at Montreal’s Olympic stadium and drew in a crowd of 51,176 people. Predictions were split on the outcome, each team has an exceptional track-record and are filled with some of the world’s most elite players.

While the best athletes from around the world relied on the performance of the synthetic turf and the eyes of fans back home were watching, it was crucial for the pitch to be perfect.

Precision and a dedication to quality and flawlessness set Act Global synthetic turf systems apart. A singular focus on unparalleled leadership in each step from manufacturing to the installation of our artificial turf is the Act Global commitment. In addition to our own dedication to excellence, Act Global selects only the most highly skilled and devoted installation partners.  Installation of this stadium would not have been possible without our Canadian Partner, Carpell Surfaces.

Recap: CASH’s 39th Annual Conference on School Facilities

Last week Act Global joined our California partner KYA at the Coalition for Adequate School Housing’s 39th Annual Conference on School Facilities. CASH is the leading statewide organization representing school facility professionals for both public and private schools. The coalition has worked since 1978 to ensure that California’s students are guaranteed access to quality, safe and healthy environments that encourage educational success.

CASH’s 2018 conference was a 3-day event at the Sacramento Convention Center. Hosting a fusion of innovative ideas from experts within their fields, the goal of the conference is to provide a holistic approach to designing a better school system for the 21st-century. KYA was both an exhibitor and a sponsor of the event, both supporting the objective of CASH, as well as educating schools on the importance of proper surfaces.  This is especially true for athletic fields where student-athletes spend a significant amount of time throughout the week. Kyas’ KYA Active line supplies the highest-quality synthetic turf systems from Act Global and are a complete surface solution for safety, durability, and increased playing time. Field Feature Friday: Siloam Springs

One of our dedicated sales reps recently traveled to Siloam Springs, Arkansas to check up on a past installation at the city’s local high school.  The school is situated at the foothill of the Ozark Mountains and located in a growing town on the Arkansas border that maintains its small-town charm.

In 2016 the Siloam Springs Panthers advanced to 6A status within the state’s 6A West Conference. As part of the state’s second-largest conference, Siloam Springs requires a highly durable sports surface that could stand up to the high use of the multiple teams that utilize the field for practice and play. The Panthers chose Act Global synthetic turf for its proven durability and safety to enhance the performance of these growing athletes. This is proven with over 100 laboratory tests and natural grass benchmarks to ensure each field of Act Global offers protection to athletes so that they can play at their peak.
