NFL Recap: The New Orleans Saints

Yesterday’s win boosted the Saints record to 5-2 for the season and increased their winning streak to five consecutive games. This is the longest streak the team has had since 2013. This season the Saints have risen to be one of the more powerful teams in the NFL by displaying their multi-dimensionality as a team. Both the offense and the defense showed up ready to play, never allowing the Bears to make a comeback.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees went down into NFL history yesterday by becoming just the third quarterback to complete 6,000 passes in his career. It was early in the third quarter of Sunday’s match when Brees joined rank with Brett Favre and Peyton Manning in this level of player prestige. Even with this notoriety and his team success, Brees stated “we still have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of room for improvement.”
Sunday afternoon’s game was played at the SMG managed Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which was resurfaced with Act Global brand turf before the start of the 2017 season.
In the coming month, the Saints will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins, and Los Angelos Rams.

Lusitano Stadium is a soccer stadium located in the New England town of Ludlow, Massachusetts, and home to USL Premier Development League’s Western Mass Pioneers. The team was founded in 1997 after a friendly wager at the Gremio Lusitano club among friends led to team president Celso Correia to form the Western Mass Pioneers Soccer Team. Since then, the Pioneers have reigned as regular season champions and hosted the National Championship match of USL’s Second Division before joining the PDL in 2010. The team is committed exceptional and local talent while providing athletes the opportunity to advance in the US Soccer system. The organization as a whole dedicates itself to present the game day experience at the highest levels possible, which has made the Pioneers consistently rank among the top teams in attendance. 
Kaukauna High School serves the almost 1400 9th-12th grade students in the eastern Wisconsin town of Kaukauna. The school prides itself on fostering a community of learners that are equipped to succeed and contribute to the changing world by providing a challenging and nurturing environment. This dedication to the development of students translates to the improvement of student-athletes as well. Approximately 70% of the student body takes part in sports and co-curricular activities, and participation continues to grow. In August 2016 Kaukauna School District unveiled its new athletic facilities, including several indoor complexes and an outdoor stadium called the Bank of Kaukauna Stadium. The stadium was outfitted with Act Global’s Xtreme Turf, a professional play system that was selected and installed by ProGrass.
The opening of the new facilities brought in several hundred community members who were excited to see the new home of the Galloping Ghosts. The stadium was not only a new surface of play for several of Kaukauna High School’s sports teams but also a place of gathering for the community to cheer on their local team. On the night of the ribbon cutting, Superintendent Mark Duerwachter exclaimed, “It’s awesome! It’s a great day to be a Galloping Ghost!”

Since the school renovated their football stadium with a new synthetic turf system in 2013, the Irish have had all but one winning season within the Ohio Capital Conference. The team ended their 2016 ranked in the top 100 out of over 700 Ohio high school football teams.
