Act Global’s Xtreme Turf SX was installed in Hayu Village, China for a new field that will be used as a local recreational facility for the people in the community and tourists who visit. This field is designed to enhance player experience as well as keep the appearance of the field as close to natural grass as possible.
Having a recreational field is a way to encourage community activity. Recreational fields provide access for the community to join together and encourage one another to get outdoors and be active, whether it’s competitively or for fun. Because these fields are suitable for a number of different sports, they serve as a huge advantage for the citizens.
Act Global’s Xtreme Turf SX was chosen for its bicolor grass that closely resembles natural turf as well as for the straight and durable yarns it has. All of Act Global’s Turf goes through verified testing to ensure safety and durability for all players. With synthetic turf, intense upkeep is not needed. The Hayu Village community will be able to utilize this field constantly without having to take time off to maintain the field, making it a convenient place for games or practices for the entire city.
“We are honored to have been chosen for Hayu Village’s recreational field. One of Act Global’s goals is to impact the communities we live in and the earth we inhabit. Being a part of this new recreational field for this city falls in line with that goal and we are thankful for the opportunity,” says Daniel Clapham, Act Global’s Regional Manager.

Tons of people are making the switch to synthetic turf for various reasons. Whether it’s to escape the extensive maintenance of natural grass or to be more environmentally friendly, synthetic turf is a cost-effective way to have the look and feel of natural grass without the upkeep of it. The durability of the synthetic turf is extremely important to ensure that the turf can handle various sports activities in a safe manner for all athletes, as well as making sure the turf can withstand different climatic conditions over time.
Act Global’s turf goes through verified testing that exposes the turf to 3,000 hours of UVA testing for intense climatic conditions and up to 130,000 Lisport cycles to test tensile strength. By testing our turf for maximum durability and safety, we eliminate any blossoming. Blossoming is a term that can be related to degradation. This is when the synthetic turf degrades and becomes very worn. Within the monofilament or fibrillated yarn, different infills are put in to help the stability of the yarn itself, keeping the turf dense. If the yarns blossom, it makes the infill less helpful and can make the turf field dangerous for athletes. The more durable the synthetic turf field is, the safer it is and the longer it lasts. With the use of this testing, we can ensure that our turf does not blossom.
By recognizing the importance of durability in synthetic turf, Act Global is able to put the safety and performance needs of athletes first by using our testing tools. We are proud to be a synthetic turf company that builds fields around the world for safer, more economical, and environmentally friendly sports facilities.

Oregon Ducks women’s soccer team beat the Oregon State Beavers last Friday 2-0 on their home turf in Eugene, Oregon. This is the first time in two years that the Ducks have won against the Beavers. Marissa Everett scored both of the goals for the Ducks during this game. It was a huge overall win for the Ducks, they broke a nine-year losing streak and lifted Oregon women’s soccer to its best record in a decade with 9-9-1 overall. We are proud of the Ducks for this big win!
The University of Hawaii, unfortunately, lost to Utah State 56 to 17 Saturday, November 3rd at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii. UH quarterback Cole McDonald became the sixth quarterback in program history to reach the mark of 331 yards passing, two touchdowns, and eclipsed 3,000 yards on the season. McDonald threw both of his touchdowns in the third quarter. USU’s rushers Darwin Thompson and Gerold Bright each got three touchdowns defeating the University of Hawaii. We hope to see Hawaii come back with a win November 17th after a bye week.
Sunday, November 4th
Sunday was an exciting day on our turf. Two of our favorite NFL teams won their home games and we couldn’t be more proud. The Vikings beat the Lions 24 to 9 with the power of their defense. The Lions got three field goals, a fumble recovery, and an interception during the game but that was about it for them. The Vikings take on the Bears on November 18th, we are excited to see what the game entails.
The Saints took the W against the Rams 45 to 35. The Rams have been undefeated until their loss this Sunday, making it a huge win for the Saints. Saints quarterback Drew Brees threw four touchdown passes and 346 yards, running back Alvin Kamara had three touchdowns and wide receiver Michael Thomas caught a 72-yard touchdown that locked in their win. This was an exciting game to watch and we can’t wait to see the Saints play the Cincinnati Bengels next weekend. Will the Saints keep up this winning streak?
Overall, this was a great weekend of games! Be sure to check out next weeks recap on the biggest games that took place on Act Global’s turf!

Lake Elsinore Unified School District is a public school district located in Lake Elsinore, California. Earlier this year, three of the high schools within this district upgraded to new turf fields for many different sports. The Lake Elsinore student-athletes are now benefiting from each of these new turf fields from Act Global’s Xtreme Turf.
The Elsinore High School students now have a turf field for football, soccer, softball, and new track event areas. Lakeside High School, another high school within the school district, has received similar amenities along with a new turf stadium baseball field. Temescal Canyon High School received a new running track, along with two new turf softball fields and one new turf baseball field.
The Lake Elsinore school district used Act Global’s Xtreme Turf for these new fields to ensure their players a professional-level quality playing field that is durable yet safe for each of these sports. Each of these high schools is 4A division school that is heavily engaged in all school sports. It is important that these schools have fields that can help these students safely excel in performance.
Having synthetic turf fields for different sports allows more playing time for the athletes. Without as much maintenance, no time will have to be taken off of the fields. This allows each of these teams to utilize the fields during offseason to help better prepare them for the competitive season and their overall success.

Since the first professional football clubs in Poland were founded in the early 1900’s, football has been the biggest sport in Poland. With 400,000 Polish people playing regularly and millions playing occasionally, there are hundreds of professional and amateur football leagues in Poland.
Kotwica Kołobrzeg is a football club that is located in Kołobrzeg, Poland that plays in the III Liga, a Polish fourth tier league. Kołobrzeg is a seaside town located on the northwest coast of Poland. Currently, Act Global’s Xtreme Turf is being used for the development of a new football pitch in Kołobrzeg. Xtreme Turf is tested for quality, performance, and environmental safety to maximize all benefits for its players.
This new pitch will serve not only as a safe and professional-quality field for all players but will also allow as much time on the field as possible due to the minimal maintenance the field will require. Because the climate in Kołobrzeg is mostly very cold, apart from a few months, the maintenance of natural grass after the winter months can be very intense. The use of Act Global’s Xtreme Turf will allow more playing time with less upkeep, making it a valuable pitch for the city’s club soccer team.
Work on this pitch is to be completed soon and we can’t wait for finalized field photos!
