The automobile-manufacturer built a professional sports field using Act Global’s Xtreme Turf.
The staff at GAC-Toyota’s China facility now have access to an on-site private sports field. The artificial grass supplier AVG completed the Xtreme Turf installation earlier this month.
Act Global’s synthetic turf was selected for the facility due to its prevalence in worldwide sports and international agencies. The manufacturer is experienced in producing FIFA quality fields and supplying the best quality systems available. Xtreme Turf SX was chosen for the campus due to its reinforced spine and natural grass performance.
The installation was completed by the South China synthetic turf experts, AVG. All Victory Grass’ previous references include universities across the country and the Chinese National Stadium. The support staff at AVG will continue to work with GAC-Toyota to provide the necessary attention to maintenance and care to the turf system.
Regional Manager Daniel Clapham commented on Act Global and AVG’s partnership. “Our partnership with AVG in China has been in operation since 2012 and our joint stability, long-term vision and shared values of customer service, innovation and quality give our customers a high level of security in their investment with Act Global/AVG. We wish GAC-Toyota many years of high-performance play”.

This weekend was packed full of games to watch on our turf. With both wins and losses, it was an interesting weekend to say the least.
Friday, October 26th
Friday night Austintown Fitch High School beat Cardinal Mooney High School on their home turf in Austintown, Ohio. Fitch senior quarterback Dom Montalbano scored three touchdowns Friday night, allowing the Falcons to move on to the playoffs. Trailing 21 to 0, Cardinals Chris Grubner got a 25-yard touchdown and put the Cardinals on the scoreboard. After a field goal for the Falcons, Jason Santisi scored a 4-yard touchdown for the Cardinals. The end score was 24 to 14, advancing the Falcons on to the playoffs on November 2nd against Euclid High School in Euclid, Ohio.
Saturday, October 27th
Saturday was an exciting day for the Houston Cougars. With an ending score of 57 to 36, the Cougars beat the University of South Florida, resulting in them ranking for the first time since 2016 at number 17. The Cougars had six rushers total 265 yards. Houston’s defense forced two fourth-quarter turnovers sealing the win. They will go on to play the Southern Methodist University on Saturday.
Sunday was a busy day for our brand of turf. Oregon Ducks women’s soccer beat the Arizona Wildcats on their home turf in Eugene, Oregon during overtime 1 to 0. Bailey Brunner scored the winning goal in the 95th minute of the game. The last four home matches were tough for the Ducks, especially the losses in the past two. We are proud they pulled through for a win this time. Hopefully, they keep up their hard work for their game against Oregon State on November 2nd.
One of our favorite NFL teams, unfortunately, took a loss this Sunday but the ending score was relatively close. The Redskins beat the Giants 24 to 13. The Giants fought hard but were won over by the Redskins use of their defense starting from the second quarter. The Giants offense just wasn’t hitting it this week, but we hope to see them fully recovered and ready for their game in San Francisco on November 12th.

Two of our other favorite NFL teams played against each other this Sunday and it was an exciting game to watch. We are proud of both teams and can’t wait to watch each of their following games on our brand of turf.
The Saints beat the Vikings 30 to 20. Their secret weapon Drew Brees was prepared to take exactly what the defense was going to throw at him and he did just that. The Vikings attempted to slow him down a few times but ultimately there was nothing stopping the Saints offense. This victory for the Saints extends their winning streak to six weeks. Their next game is at their home turf on the Mercedez-Benz Superdome against the Los Angeles Rams on Sunday. That matchup is said to be the most anticipated matchup of this 2018 NFL season. We are excited to see if the Saints will keep this winning streak going on our brand of turf. As for the Vikings, their wide receiver Adam Thielen continued to make history with now eight straight games with over 100 yards. He had 102 receiving yards during this game. The Vikings definitely played hard, we are proud of Adam Thielen and hope to see them dominate the Detroit Lions next week.
It was an overall great weekend for some of our favorite teams. Act Globals turf is tested for quality, performance and environmental safety. We are honored to have each of these teams play fun and safely on our brand of turf. Check in next Monday for another weekly update on the biggest games that took place on Act Globals synthetic turf!

This May work commenced to revitalize the Voetbalvereniging AD69 soccer club in Aalten, Netherlands. The multi-stage project required resurfacing of three fields including a full sized field, the goal areas of a second fields, and Xtreme Turf on a third field. By July, both the Xtreme Turf and the Xtreme Grass had been installed and the hybrid areas were ready for seeding. This process was planned far enough in the future that all fields would be ready for play by fall training.
The official grand opening of the south sport park was last week to celebrate completion of the renovation. Check out this video of the installation of our Xtreme Grass product!

The Polish sports club KS Bałtyk Koszalin encompasses over 300 athletes as a part of 12 individual teams. The youth teams are consistently ranked as the most successful in the region and the junior and senior teams see the same success within their respected top leagues. The program at KS Bałtyk Koszalin has proven to select and train competitive and skilled athletes. Since its reactivation in 1995, the club has seen several of its alumni continue to the Polish premier league.
KS Bałtyk Koszalin is located in the northern edge of Poland. The name Bałtyk means Baltic, the sea which Koszalin is situated upon its shore. When replacing its worn synthetic turf pitch, the club wanted a technically-superior system that matched the aesthetics of the natural landscape. The new Xtreme Turf field will now serve as the main field for practices, scrimmages, and training for each of the club’s teams. The full-sized field is proven to resist damage despite high-use situations and climatic conditions.
Work on the pitch has been completed and it is ready for use.
