Act Global’s corporate office is participating in Field of Dream Uganda’s Dresses for Dreams 5K.

There are 3 race hubs this year located in Cabool and Higginsville, Missouri, and Evansville, Indiana. Around 700 runners are registered for the race in the US and over 200 are registered in Uganda.

Due to the pandemic, Austin is unable to host a hub, but runners can register and participate virtually in the run.

Field of Dreams Uganda’s mission is: “to provide hope for the orphaned and vulnerable children of Uganda through the vehicles of soccer and education.”

They partner with nine schools in the Central and Northern regions of Uganda selected based on need, school leadership, community engagement, and support for their mission.

The 5K raises funds for Field of Dreams Uganda’s girl empowerment initiatives and serves more than 3,000 female students and teachers across Uganda.

The funds for this year’s event will assist health and sanitation improvements to schools in an effort to create safe and healthy environments. Additional funds assist the partner school’s female population with:

  • School fees
  • Character development workshops
  • Hygiene kits
  • Soccer training and coaching
  • Technology training
  • Travel opportunities
  • Leadership development activities

At Act Global, we strongly believe in our social responsibility to “Give More”, meaning giving back to the communities in which we serve. We feel both ourand Field of Dreams Uganda’s values align in our compassionate efforts toward society.
