KS Cracovia is a football club that has roots dating back 111 years, to 1906.  Football started gaining popularity in Poland in the first years of the 20th century and quickly spread throughout the country.  The club received its own pitch in 1912 and won the Championship of Austrian Galicia the following year.  The long history of the club itself follows the history of Poland, from which a strong spirit of patriotism and tradition have emerged.

After World War I broke out, the team continued to compete against elite teams and foster the growth of exceptional players.  Throughout World War II when Nazi Germany banned sports from Polish citizens, the team competed in secret championships of the city to preserve the spirit of the game.  In the years following to the end of the 20th century, the team retained many faithful supporters that allowed the club to continue to develop.

Today the club competes in the Europa League, which Cracovia qualified in 2016 for the first time in the club’s history.  The team recently updated their training center at Krakow city center to Act Global’s Xtreme Turf.  This artificial grass system has a proven history of durability, safety, and performance, backed by extensive testing and R&D efforts.  Because the team spends many hours each week on their training field, it is vital that the playing surface is strong, consistent, and stable.  The Act Global synthetic turf system is engineered for football teams with playability components that help athletes perform their best.
