The biggest game in American football is taking place this weekend, February 4th in Minneapolis, Minnesota. The Philadelphia Eagles and New England Patriots have commanded the road to the Super Bowl, earning their spots in this year’s game. With Super Bowl Sunday quickly approaching, Act Global will be bringing a fun fact each day about U.S. Bank Stadium- home of Super BowlLII.
Did you know that U.S. Bank Stadium’s roof engineering is a trailblazer for stadiums, both in size and design? Because U.S. Bank is now a premier facility for year-round events, in the design stage of the facility it was vital to craft a sought-after destination that could protect athletes and entertainers from the elements of the outdoors. The result was the lightest and most efficient roof structure in the nation for a major new stadium and the only ETFE roof on a sports facility within the United States. The completely clear roof covers sixty percent of the venue and allows as much natural light in as possible.

The 2018 Super Bowl is not the only opportunity you have to check out this beautiful stadium. This summer will be the second subsequent year that Minneapolis will host the summer X Games, and U.S. Bank Stadium has been named the host of the 2019 men’s basketball Final Four.
The X Games is an extreme sports competition that brings together top-tier athletes in skateboarding, motocross, BMX, and mountain biking. The high-energy, multi-day event is known as a center of enthusiasm and creativity.
NCAA’s Final Four is the final round of the men’s basketball tournament, March Madness. The winner of each region advance to the Final Four for national semifinals and championship. Currently, UCLA holds the most titles with 11 wins, but the school has not won an NCAA men’s basketball championship since 1995. Last year’s champion was North Carolina, who currently hold six titles.
