Since 1898, Ashford School has served the outer London community by providing coeducational independent boarding and day schooling to students ages 3-18. The school is dedicated to developing highly capable, expert adults by exposing students to a highly diverse environment of experiences. It is believed that maximizing the achievement of growing learners is accomplished across a wide range of fields beyond academic excellence.
To encourage students to pursue extracurriculars, Ashford School offers a variety of opportunities including a range of sports teams to get involved in. One sports group that has grown to offer teams to players of all levels, genders, and age is the Ashford Hockey Club. The club was established the same year as the school itself and today competes in local and regional leagues throughout the South of England.
In 2015 we had the opportunity to provide Ashford’s new field hockey pitch with an Act Global manufactured synthetic turf surface. The Xtreme Turf system used is designed for speed and precision with its flat, fast surface and free moving fibers that enhance player footing and stick movements. As an FIH preferred supplier, Act Global is committed to the highest industry standards to grow the game of hockey. This means that the students at Ashford School can be confident that the artificial grass surface will allow them to play at their highest potential.

The foundation utilizes the five core values of hope, service, respect, justice, and compassion both to foster the development of youth and to conduct an ethical and transparent business.
“The ultimate goal of the Chris Canty Foundation is to mold and develop well-rounded, character-driven individuals possessing the mental, physical, and emotional strength to win in the game of life as well as promote local and global change through community service”- Joseph Canty, President.
In addition to its year-round efforts, the Chris Country Foundation also hosts an annual “Camp of Champions” as a way to teach children how to channel their competitive nature and expose them to the rewards of winning. The two-day camp focuses on building leaders on the field, encouraging communication, and teaching the fundamentals of discipline and hard work.
We’re proud to be a small part of this organization by manufacturing a multipurpose field for their camps and special events. Cracovia Krakow is the oldest Polish football club still in existence and has competed since its founding on June 13, 1906. The 111 year-history of the club closely intertwines with the history of Poland itself, which is why patriotism and tradition are integrated into the sports club. From the red and white colors of the club to the attitude of openness, tolerance and respect for other cultures and nationalities bear respect for history and the club’s values. The club also emphasizes the ideals of “fair play” as an approach for success in both sports and life. This standard stresses the important of honorability, loyalty, and honesty; fair play is the impartial and equitable treatment of others and the presentation of high ethical and moral standards. KC Cracovia believes in fostering not only the growth of athletes but also building and strengthening their community through common values and traditions.
The Polish football club recently renovated their 1912-originating stadium to modernize its training base in Krakow. Part of the upgrades included a new, top-quality synthetic turf pitch from Act GLobal. The Xtreme Turf Woven Product system was selected for its proven safety and comfort to players while increasing playability. The artificial grass provides the perfect balance between shock absorption and deformation to create a stable surface and limits the risk of fatigue-related injuries. Poland’s new synthetic turf pitch will also give consistent ball-to-surface interactions so that soccer players can adapt quickly to new conditions of play. Finally, the pitch provides proper traction to balance the possibilities of twisting knees and ankles with slipping over the surface.
The Cracovia Stripes have an updated stadium that is engineered for the benefit of the players.
Good luck to The Stripes!

Yesterday’s win boosted the Saints record to 5-2 for the season and increased their winning streak to five consecutive games. This is the longest streak the team has had since 2013. This season the Saints have risen to be one of the more powerful teams in the NFL by displaying their multi-dimensionality as a team. Both the offense and the defense showed up ready to play, never allowing the Bears to make a comeback.
Saints quarterback Drew Brees went down into NFL history yesterday by becoming just the third quarterback to complete 6,000 passes in his career. It was early in the third quarter of Sunday’s match when Brees joined rank with Brett Favre and Peyton Manning in this level of player prestige. Even with this notoriety and his team success, Brees stated “we still have a lot of work to do. We have a lot of room for improvement.”
Sunday afternoon’s game was played at the SMG managed Mercedes-Benz Superdome, which was resurfaced with Act Global brand turf before the start of the 2017 season.
In the coming month, the Saints will take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, Buffalo Bills, Washington Redskins, and Los Angelos Rams.
