Recently ground broke on a revolutionary artificial grass field hockey facility in Udaipur, Rajasthan, India. The ceremony attracted many community members and teams related to the design and implementation of the new pitch, and even brought out the Sports Minister of India, Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore. The Sports Minister was in full regalia for the event and was caught below with Act Global’s partner Dharminder Chadha reviewing field drawings and renderings.
The entire city and state are excited for the opening of the new field hockey facility that is set to be FIH Global certified and will perform beautifully in the hot, semi-arid climate. By featuring Xtreme Turf NFH13, the new synthetic turf field will be among other top field hockey pitches in the world, allowing athletes to practice and compete on a world-class surface that is built for superior play. To ensure the field is properly installed for years of comfort and safety, our North Indian partner and certified FIH field builder Chadha Sports will command the installation for this project.

Deer Park is a secondary school located in Cirencester, Gloucestershire, England. The Academy-rated institution instills a comprehensive education that includes a broad curriculum and access to elite extra-curricular resources. Because athletic engagement both supports learning as well as promotes individual interests, Deer Park encourages its students to join one of the many sports teams offered throughout the year in fall, spring, and summer terms.

Deer Park’s professional-quality artificial turf system is even used not only by student-athletes, but also the Cirencester Hockey Club for its fast, flat, and consistent surface. The Cirencester Hockey Club is a social hockey club that has grown to be one of the largest hockey clubs in South Gloucestershire over the past quarter-century with 8 adult leagues, Vets and mixed teams, and over 250 junior players. The club allows teams to grow their hockey abilities in a friendly environment and continue to play throughout the sport’s traditional off-season.
The artificial turf system currently installed at Deer Park is a professional hockey system with advanced texturized fiber technology and glass-reinforced backings. The uniform surface provides technical accuracy and consistent ball roll and rebound through a scientifically-engineered turf system that is exceptionally durable. Marin Catholic’s Bishop Daly field is a multipurpose synthetic turf facility in Kentfield, California. For 15 years leading up to this past August, the high school student-athletes were facing safety concerns and hazards revolving around the previous natural grass and bordering vegetation.
Our awesome partners at The KYA Group arranged this complete field renovation for the Wildcats. The most noticeable part of this install is the baseball diamond and outfield crafted from Act Global artificial grass. Our baseball turf is not only proven to be the most durable fibrillated yarn product on the market, but it is also benchmarked against top natural grass training facilities, including the New York Yankees and the Houston Astros. Because of the extensive research and development that has gone into our baseball turf, the Wildcats have a consistent surface for peak player performance.

Bishop Daly field is utilized by the field hockey team in the fall and the baseball team in the spring.
